Join Ruha Benjamin and Ariana Brazier for an interactive introduction to The Imagination Playbook, a collection of games and activities for people of all ages to build our powers of speculation and imagine tools and worlds that break with current social hierarchies and systems of domination. By practicing select embodied activities and imaginative discussion, participants will engage in the type of joyful struggle that undergirds collective knowledge, solidarity, and possibility. This is a cameras-on workshop as the activities are best experienced when everyone commits to participating fully.
Ruha Benjamin is a transdisciplinary scholar and educator, Professor of African American Studies, and Founding Director of the Ida B. Wells Just Data Lab at Princeton University.
Ariana Denise Brazier, Ph.D. is a Black queer feminist and smiley sad mom-girl. She is a play-driven community-organizer and educator who is motivated to raise a joyous, free Black child.
